Over three generations, Hayton's have offered a far-reaching and great value service, and the company is now well established.
Barry Hayton founded the company is 1984, when he spotted an advert in the classified adverts. Unknowingly, he had sparked the chain of events that has built the coach business of today. Barry built a solid customer base in those first years, working for a variety of schools and organisations throughout the area. Those small beginnings have now resulted in a company with an estimated turnover of over £4.5 million.
Recent years have seen the company increasingly influenced by Barry junior, Mr. Hayton's son, who joined straight from school and passed his PCV test within just 10 days of his 18th birthday. Barry senior has since been able to take more of a back seat, and his younger namesake is flanked by other family members. Barry junior's wife Kerry is company secretary and Barry senior's grandson Stephen - a qualified mechanic - is also one of the companies qualified PCV drivers.
